Terms of Service

These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the running app provided by PlayRoute (the “Service”), and the rights and duties of the Service and its users. By installing and using the app, you agree to these terms.

The Korean version of these terms is the original. If a translation differs from it, the Korean version prevails.

• ·Recording runs with iPhone and Apple Watch (distance, time, pace, route, heart rate, cadence, and more)
• ·Keeping your records and statistics, and saving and sharing result images
• ·Saving a run as a public course, and running along saved courses
• ·Rankings that compare the distance you ran with other users in the same country

The Service is provided free of charge. The Service may add, change, or remove features, and will announce changes that matter to users in advance through the app or this website.

The Service does not require sign-up; it tells users apart by an identifier the app creates on your device. Because the account is tied to that device, you may not be able to carry over your previous account and server records if you change or reset the device.

Your nickname may be visible to other users. Nicknames that impersonate others or are offensive are not allowed, and the Service may change such nicknames or restrict use.

You can delete your account at any time under Profile in the app. Deleting your account also deletes all the runs and courses you uploaded to the server (including courses published to other users) and the records and personal settings stored in the app on this iPhone, and deleted records cannot be restored. Workouts and heart rate that Apple Watch saved to the Apple Health app are not deleted; you can delete them yourself in the Health app. If you keep using the app after deleting your account, a new device account is created. Section 7 of the Privacy Policy describes in detail what is erased and what remains.

You must not do any of the following.

• ·Falsify records or rankings, for example by spoofing your location or uploading travel by vehicle as a run
• ·Put profanity, hate speech, obscene content, advertising, or other people's personal information in a nickname, course name, or course description
• ·Infringe the rights of others or break the law
• ·Interfere with the Service's servers or communications, access them by unauthorized means, or disassemble or tamper with the app
• ·Publish as a course a route that passes through restricted areas or private property

If any of the above is confirmed, the Service may delete the record or course concerned and exclude it from rankings, and may restrict use of the Service if it is repeated or serious.

If a nickname, course name, or course description contains sexually explicit or obscene words, the Service may delete that course or nickname without notifying you in advance.

The routes you save as courses, and their names and descriptions, are visible to other users along with your nickname. You permit the Service to store and display that content within the Service and to make it available for other users to run. This permission ends when you delete the course or your account.

If you find inappropriate content in another user's course or nickname, please let us know at [email protected]. We will review it and act without delay.

Rankings compare the distance run in a period by users in the same country. Periods (day, week, month, year) are divided according to the date and time zone of your device. Estimates may be shown while the app is not connected to the server.

Rankings are for fun and motivation and do not guarantee any reward or entitlement. The Service may exclude records suspected of being falsified.

The distance, pace, heart rate, calories, and other figures shown by the Service are reference values that may contain errors depending on your device's sensors and satellite signals. They are not medical advice or diagnosis. If you have a health condition or are starting to exercise, please consult a doctor first.

While running, you are responsible for paying attention to your surroundings and obeying traffic laws. Course guidance and voice guidance are for reference only and do not guarantee actual road conditions or that a path is passable. Please do not let the screen distract you.

Maps in the app are provided by Google Maps and Apple Maps, and place search by Google; each company's terms also apply to their use. Health information such as heart rate is read and written through the Apple Health app, and its handling follows your device settings.

The Service may temporarily suspend or end all or part of the Service for maintenance, outages, or operational reasons. If the Service is to be discontinued, we will announce it 30 days in advance. Records stored on your device remain viewable in the app even while the server is down.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service, which is provided free of charge. This does not apply to damages caused by the Service's intent or gross negligence.

• ·Records lost because of device failure, loss, reset, or deletion of the app
• ·Records that differ from reality because of satellite signal or sensor error
• ·Problems arising when other users use a course you published
• ·Accidents or injuries that occur while running

These terms are an agreement between you and the Service, not with Apple. The Service, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content, and Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for warranties or for third-party intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you directly.

The Service may change these terms to the extent that doing so does not violate the law. Changes will be announced on this page at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before if they are unfavorable to users. If you continue to use the Service after the changed terms take effect, you are deemed to have agreed to them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes between the Service and a user will first be resolved through good-faith discussion and, failing that, by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. This section does not reduce any rights guaranteed to you by the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
